The Year Begins ... kon_el_superboy

( The Presidents of the fourteen fraternities at Simpson College met for their inaugural meetings. They had to coordinate rush and charity events for the year, but mainly it was to meet and greet each other.

Before the meeting began, seven of the Presidents got together. They were all Presidents of the wrestling fraternities.

Blake, President of Epsilon Xi, said, "So I guess all eight Presidents are wrestling this year? That's a first. Looks to be a good time."

Lambda Theta President Buzz said, "Yeah, it's cool. But how are we going to handle the titles? I mean I guess we need tournaments."

Damien, Gamma Tau President, said, "Only one tournament, for the tag belt. I think that should wait until way after rush, give us time to see which freshman want to join in."

Buzz said, "What about that big old singles belt? Kwesi graduated and he held the belt until the end of the year." Buzz had been undefeated the previous year, except for three defeats to Kwesi, a former stud from Epsilon Xi. With Kwesi gone, he figured this was his year to reign supreme.

Blake said, "Oh, I guess you were gone. Kwesi lost the last day of exams. We have a singles champ."

Buzz was surprised and upset. "What the hell? No way can he throw it to another guy in Epsilon Xi. That's against the code and you fucking know it."

Blake put up his hands, "Wasn't like that. The champ's not from our frat. It was a real match. About 20 returning guys watched if you don't believe me."

Buzz stewed as the five other Presidents confirmed Blake's story. Buz said, "Well who the hell is champ? Who is representing all of us?"

"I am, Buzz. I am."

Buzz turned and saw Scott, the last President to arrive. Scott was President of Kappa Chi, the "smart" frat. He couldn't believe it. The Kappas were in the league for fun, most of them small and not that skilled, they just enjoyed wrestling.

Not that Scott was like that. He was 23, 215 pounds of power, entering grad school, and a strong, tough SOB. Buzz said, "Wow. Congrats Scott."

The men shook hands. Scott could tell Buzz was sizing him up. They had never wrestled and Buzz was trying to figure out how Scott could beat the unbeatable Kwesi.

Scott could practically read his thoughts. He was not surprised when Buzz said, "Got any challenges yet? I want to be first."

Scott agreed, knowing that Buzz deserved a shot and that he would never hear the end of it if he didn't wrestle him. One of the best parts about their system was that style was open. Scott knew that Buzz wanted pro-style, most likely in a ring, but Scott held out for submission.

The match was set for a week later. It would be in the Beta Chi basement as they had the best set up. Both young men were anxious to get it on.
