Billy Trilogy I: Billy vs Mikey RyanCarrWeber
Billy vs. Mikey - Shaky Beginnings
Billy had thought for several weeks how to begin his career in BW; he had been planning his ascent to the top ranking of local teenage wrestlers. He knew he was one of the smallest in the league, and this didn't bother him - he was confident that his excellent physical condition and the dexterity he had gained from eight years' training in gymnastics would enable him to overcome bigger opponents with ease. Still, he at least wanted to start within his own weight class. So he asked for a match with Mikey, who was yet unproven in the ring, and who Billy believed was more attitude than muscle or skill.
Mikey wanted to win his first match, regardless of who he ended up fighting. So, when he was offered a match against Billy, on whom he had twenty pounds, he gleefully signed. Mikey knew of Billy's background in gymnastics, and was sure he'd have no problem taking apart this little twink of a wrestler. The match was on.
The two combattants approached the ring to similarly warm receptions from a crowd unfamiliar with either. They shook hands after the referee checked them, and then went back to their appropriate corners. Middleweight Curtis, who had no ties to either wrestler, was acting as referee. TW had learned a lesson on having wrestlers act as refs in an earlier incident involving heavyweight Cody, but was pressed for staff and Curtis was willing. The bell rang and Billy and Mikey came to the center. As they approached, Billy turned over to his hands and swung his feet around, connecting hard with Mikey's chest in a modified round-off. Mikey was stunned and fell to the mat. The smaller teen wasted no time, pleased as he was, in pulling a still-winded Mikey to his feet and irish whipping him into the ropes. A standing dropkick met the teen's return Mikey was already reeling, lying on his back as Billy bounced off the ropes and flipped in mid-air, landing with a leg accross Mikey's chest. A non-chalant cover produced only a two-count, and Billy got right back to work. He pulled the teen to his feet and lifted a knee into his soft gut. Mikey exhaled quickly as the thin teen's bony knee mashed his tummy and was able to provide no resistance to a snap-suplex which more than made up in speed what it lacked in height, and Mikey's back smacking the canvas could be heard back in the changing area. Billy was cocky, though, and took too long getting to the top rope, so that when he leapt, flipping for extra impact with a splash, he smacked the mat even harder than Mikey had a moment before, as Mikey moved out of the way.
Mikey was still hurt, but able to get up first, and drop an elbow on Billy as he rolled around in pain on the mat. He helped the gymnast to his feet and crotchlifted him, driving Billy to the mat with a big powerslam. Mikey covered, but Curtis only got to two and three quarters before Billy managed to lift a shoulder. Curtis was as surprised as Mikey, and watched interestedly as the bigger lightweight lifted Billy yet again. He got Billy up onto his shoulders, and applied a torture rack. Billy winced a bit, but Mikey lacked the strength to stretch the gymnast's limber body enough to hurt him, and so Billy just held on for the ride until Mikey gave up and dropped him to the mat. Mikey pulled Billy up again and whipped him into a corner. But when the heavier teen tried to follow, Billy dodged out of the way. He took control quickly, whipping Mikey into the opposite corner. Billy figured now was as good a time as any for his finisher, as Mikey was winded from the missed body block, so Billy went for it, doing a back-handspring accross the ring and ending by flipping into Mikey, smashed under the gymnast's momentup. When Mikey fell to the mat, Billy dragged him to the center and finished the flip-splash he had missed earlier. An easy three-count followed, and Billy beamed at his narrow victory over the larger teen.
As Billy was leaving the ring, Curtis offered a compliment, "hey, kid, nice moves. maybe show me sometime?" "Kid" was NOT the image Billy wanted. He was all too aware of his boyish features and could not stand for this. He took it as an insult, stepping up to Curtis, "Sure. I'll show you - next week, one on one."
