Dane's plan sutekh222000
Dane had watched the handicap squash with a sense of deja vu. It was virtually the exact same thing that had happened to him when he faced Cody for the heavyweight title. So Dane decided that to prevent another miscarriage of justice certain steps would have to be taken. He went in to see Ryan.
"What the hell do you want Dane" Ryan barked out as Dane entered the locker room.
"A fair title fight on the 4th with no more interference from you or your boys" Dane said
"And we'll do this out of the goodness of our hearts right" Ryan offered laughing.
"No you'll do it because of what I'm offering you. Here's the bargain. From this moment forward no one, and I mean no one lays a hand on Rob until the day after his title match. If he wins against Cody one of your boys gets the first title shot against him. And if he loses, I'll retire"
Ryan looked at Dane in total shock. "Are you nuts Dane" he answered "Cody 'll kill your muscleboy."
"Then you don't have much to lose do you?"
Ryan nodded and shook hands with Dane. "Fair enough Dane, you have a deal."
Dane produced a contract and after rading it, Ryan signed the deal.
"Oh and by the way Ryan if you violate the contract you are the one who has to retire."
Dane's 1st plan had eliminated Ryan and his crew as a threat to Rob's title match on the 4th. But there was an even bigger problem to deal with. Rob's confidence was totally gone. Granted Dane didn't want the cocky egomaniac he had first met to return, but then Rob's current attitude was one of defeat. First Dane bought 30 tickets to the event and gave them out to one of his best friends, Lori, the captain of the local cheerleading team. Dane had every intention to ensure that the crowd would be on Rob's side for this fight.
Finally Dane sat down and had a long talk with Rob. he tried to explain that no-one could have won the match against 2 top wrestlers, that Rob had nothing to be ashamed of. Finally Rob regained that spark in his eyes. He began decimating the wrestlers Dane brought to train him for the title fight. Dane had no doubt this would be one hell of a match.
