Rob's departure sutekh222000
Rob was packing his bags in the locker room. Dane walked in somewhat shocked. "Uh Rob we have a tag match tonight with Ryan and Kane, you can't just walk out now" he said.
"Don't worry Dane I took the trouble to find a replacement for me tonight. Trust me it'll work out"
Dane was surprised. Rob had not sent a word to anyone since Cody had defeated him for the title a few days earlier. Dane had expected Rob to be depressed but this was more than he thought would happen.
"Look Rob everyone loses now and again, don't worry about it" Dane offered. "I mean had you lost to a lightweight I could see your point, but this was a title match, your first at that. It's nothing to be ashamed of"
Rob gazed deeply at Dane. "You're right and I'm not angry at all. Or ashamed. What I am is realistic. I didn't see a single wrestler not cheering Cody when he kicked my ass. Hey maybe my attitude is a problem. But what should I do? Drop 20 lbs? Refuse to use any power holds at all? I can't fight all of you now can I"
Dane nodded and let Rob continue. "Actually this choice was taken out of my hands. Mom and Dad got a great offer on the house, and they took it. We're leaving tomorrow night".
"It usually takes a bit longer than that Rob" Dane replied.
"I know but for some reason the buyer insisted, and they offered an extra 50 grand. And don't ask I have no clue who they are. Thanks for everything Dane and good luck."
Dane nodded and turned back to his locker to mask his frustration. "Well that's one down" came a mocking voice from the other side of the room. Dane spun around to see Ashley there. "My rich daddy always does what his little girl tells him Dane. And I want that title belt for Ryan's posse. If I were you I'd stay out of our way".
Dane slammed his hand into the locker hard as Ashley left via the back door. When Dane turned he saw Cody standing there.
"Maybe we should talk Dane" he offered. "That little $U%T% is getting to be too serious a problem for my tastes."
