Dane knew Cody was only facing Steve because of what had happened the week before. But as Steve had dominated Cody, Dane had to smile. Cody had called him a second rate wrestler. But Cody was the former Champ and he to looked like a second rate wrestler against this muscleboy.

When Cody had come back from certain defeat to get the pin fall, Dane was in shock. He watched the ref raise Cody's hand in victory. He knew now had he not injured Cody prior to his match with Roby, Cody would still be TW HW champ.

Cody staggered from the ring. He was sore, but he had pulled off an upset victory. Steve was tough.

Pat stopped Cody as he entered the locker room. "Hey man, are you and Dane really going to face off?"

Cody nodded, "We have to settle this."

Pat nodded, "Cody, think about this. You both screwed up. I mean you cost your team the tag titles and now Dane cost you the HW title."

Cody shook his head, "Pat, I don't give a shit about the title. I know Dane cost me the match against Roby. That's not the issue. The issue goes back a lot further then that."

Pat nodded, "All right, but at least have the match in private. Don't do it in the TW arena. Come on man, I'll referee and you know I will be fair."

Cody shook his head, "No way, Pat. You and Dane are good friends and you train together. I'm not worried about you being fair or interfering, but if we go in private a want a referee who will be impartial."

Pat said nothing, Cody continued. "Pat, you know both of us. I don't think you would take sides, but you are emotionally involved. You and I have battled many times on the mats. You're tough and I know our matches could have gone either way. If Dane and I are to keep this legitimate we need a referee who will not be inclined to take sides."

Dane was approaching from behind Cody. He had heard the entire conversation. "Pat, I have to agree with Cody. We want a clear cut winner. I know I beat him before, one on one, but we had no referee and we beat the living shit out of each other. If possible maybe Roby or Jake would consent to being the ref."

Both Dane and Cody knew neither Roby or Jake would tolerate any shit. Both guys were big enough and tough enough to step between these two guys.

Cody nodded agreement. "Either one is fine by me."

Later when Roby and Jake were approached, both agreed to do it. Roby thought the match should take place in the TW arena. A lot of the fans had been waiting for this match.

Cody and Dane looked at each other and agreed. The match would take place on Saturday night's card.

It would have no time limit. The match would be to submission. There would be no DQS.

Cody and Dane signed the contract. Both teens wanted to get in the ring and destroy each other. Both wanted this settled once and for all.

Dane was just sorry this was not for the title.

Both teens now had four days to get in shape and prepare. Both had taken good hard working overs the past couple days.

Both knew come Saturday night there would be a clear cut winner.
