Fallout From Matches jimsub81
Following the 8 man tag team match and the 6 man rumble there was quite a division of feeling of the wrestlers in the league. Lightweight Kevin had surrounded himself with a host of wrestlers who were seen as bad guys or cheaters. For better or for worse association with Kevin had brought wrestlers like Martin, Tommy and "the Bad Boys" Brett and Tyson from relative obscurity into the spotlight. Lucian, Trace and Kale had appeared to take the same rout to stardom. All the fans knew who they were and would come out to see them. And whether it was to boo or cheer for them the promoters didn't care as the seats were filled anyway. This fact was not lost on several of the other wrestlers and a few of them beat a quick path to Kevin and Lucian to try to secure a friendly relationship and perhaps get their name in on the program more often.
But most of the wrestlers were basically "good at heart" and refused to associate themselves with the likes of Kevin or Lucian regardless of what it could mean to their popularity.
Following the loss of his team in the 8 man match Joey was feeling really disappointed as he had been the one that persuaded his partners to accept Daryl as the fourth man. In hindsight it was a very bad choice and Joey blamed himself for the team's loss. He wanted to extract a bit of revenge on the boys who had beat them and singled out Martin as the guy he matched up the best against. He and Martin had joined the league on the same day and Martin was getting a bit of a swollen head after his successes with Kevin. Joey aimed to take him down a peg and perhaps impress his new idol Dane who Joey felt for sure was disappointed in him. He challenged Martin the day after the fight. Martin, feeling very smug, accepted. and the match was on for the next event.
Having lost his last two matches Philip had little luck in landing another bout for the next week's matches following the second loss. Philip truly loved the action in the ring and feared that he might never get the chance again if he was seen as a loser. He really didn't no where to turn when he made his fateful decision.
He walked up to the door and rang the bell and immediately had second thoughts. But then the door opened and Kevin said, "Wow ,Philip, you're about the last person I expected to see. Come on in. Let me introduce you to some friends." Philip wasn't too surprised to see Tyson, Brett, Martin and Pat but seeing two of the newer guys to the league Vinny and Noel lounging with the others as if they were best friends was a little surprising. But what really shocked Philip was seeing a member of one of the best tag teams there as well..... without his partner. "Come on Philip", said Kevin "Let me make some formal introductions"..........
