Joey vs Martin jimsub81
3/15/01 11:31 pm Both Joey and Martin had taken quite a beating in the 8 man tag team match. But when Joey challenged Martin for the following Saturday Martin was eager to put more hurting to the muscleboy he considered cocky. Joey was in fact a bit of a show off but it had to do more with his genuine enthusiasm for the sport than personal gratification.
Daryl and Dane had just finished squaring off in their grudge match and Joey couldn't help but feel responsible for Daryl's popularity decline. It was Joey after all that got Daryl involved in the battle anyway. Before he was see as the popular "lone wolf" of the league now he was routinely booed as one of the dirty wrestlers. The match ended in Cody and Dane being beaten senseless. Joey was angry at Daryl but still sensed the big middleweight that saved his butt one time in the ring was not beyond being brought back to the ranks of a fan favorite. Dane and Cody were helped from the ring and Joey's match was about to begin.
"Our next event is a middleweight match. First, standing 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing in at 170 pounds...MARTIN!" Tommy patted Martin's back and the well built teen trotted to the ring to a round of heavy booing. Deep down the boos still hurt but he was enjoying the spotlight. "And , his opponent, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing in at 160 pounds...JOEY!" Joey entered to a loud chorus of cheers. He thought that the applause was a bit less than he normally received. Was the fact that he and his team lost to the despised Kevin and pals making the crowd like him less? But then he dismissed the idea as his imagination. He was still clearly the favorite. They stood and faced each other. They looked very evenly matched. Joey gave a few pounds away but both had very ripped bodies and were very strong for their sizes. Martin may have had a bit more definition but certainly not much more. The bell sounded and both came out with a look of determination.
Martin knew Joey liked to come out with a quick move so he decided to deliver one quicker. Martin practically ran at Joey and launched a flying drop kick that caught Joey by surprise right in the center of his chest. The blond boy was knocked backward. He lost his balance and fell into his corner. Martin was on him fast and tried to kick him in the chest but Joey caught the boot and gave it a twist. Martin howled as his ankle twisted and he went to the mats face first. Joey didn't release the leg as he twisted more. Martin's face was contorted on pain and he pounded the mats but didn't yield. Joey gave another twist and Martin cried out again and thrashed about so much Joey had a hard time holding the leg. Martin managed to turn himself over and with his free foot he rammed Joey's exposed crotch. Joey immediately let go of the foot and fell to the mat holding his balls. Martin now had a chance to recover and he slowly got to his feet treating his left leg gingerly. Joey was still down in a sitting position as Martin limped over to him. From behind Martin delivered a hard forearm to Joey's head then another and another. Joey's head was spinning as Martin helped him up and tossed him to the ropes. A heavy clothesline to the chest sent Joey down hard. Martin was moving a little better and he bounced off the ropes landing an elbow to the chest. Joey looked hurt as Martin went for a second but this time Joey rolled aside and Martin's elbow hit only mat. Martin was laying right beside Joey and Joey swung an arm over and his fist connected with the back of Martin's neck. Joey got to his feet and straddled the face down Martin. He dropped a double knee drop to the small of Martin's back then applied a camel clutch. Joey bent Martin's head backward and Martin thought he was going to break in two but there was no way he was going to submit to this boy. Martin was kicking his legs and felt his foot brush the rope. He tried to hook the rope and did so. The referee ordered the hold broken and Joey obeyed. Joey reached down to haul Martin up but the fight was far from out of the other boy and Martin shot a hard jab to Joey's lower belly right on the elastic of his orange bikini. Taken by surprise Joey doubled over and only to have a double ax handle smash into his back. Joey sank further forward but his fall was reversed courtesy of a hard knee to the chest that slammed him to the mats back first. Martin then planted himself on Joey's legs and it was open season on the blond kid's gut. Martin threw heavy punch after heavy punch to the hard but softening stomach. Joey tensed with each blow but was having trouble flexing after a while. After "tenderizing" Joey Martin thought it was time to go for the kill. Martin got off of Joey only to fall back down on the beaten gut with a knee drop. Joey moaned and rolled on his side holding his belly. Martin had hurt him bad and both wrestlers knew it. Martin hauled Joey up and tossed him to the corner. Martin, still favoring his injured leg, came at Joey. Joey saw Martin limping and decided that you had to fight fire with fire and he kicked out nailing Martin's hurt leg. He doubled over holding the leg and Joey planted another kick to the side of his head. The match had now turned very viscous on both sides as each wanted the win badly.
Martin was now staggering across the ring and Joey had recovered enough to charge him shooting yet another kick to the hurting leg. Martin went down and ,as if to give him a taste of his own medicine, Joey delivered a groin stomp of his own. A new wave of pain spread over Martin as he coughed and gasped for breath. Joey grabbed both feet and spread them wide opening up Martin's torso. Joey then proceeded to land a series of belly stomps to the well toned abs. Martin was being manhandled.
Watching from the aisle near the dressing room was Tommy. He had instructions to end the match in a DQ rather than allow Martin to lose. As it looked very bad for his buddy Tommy headed toward the ring but a big hand caught him by the neck. A deep voice said, "And just where do you think you're going?" Tommy turned to see the voice and hand belonged to Keegan, the boy Martin had somehow bested in his debut match. Knowing that Keegan was far stronger than himself Tommy knew he was going nowhere. Martin would have to fend for himself.
Joey broke off with the gut stomps and dropped an elbow to the gut and Martin was reeling. Joey then lifted Martin and flung him to the ropes. He caught him in a body slam as he rebounded. Quickly Joey was bouncing off the second rope inside the ring and did his classic mid air twist and came crashing down on the prone and beaten Martin. Joey got the leg hooked and Martin kicked wildly but could not kick out. Joey barely hung on to get the three count.
After the pin and Joey was proclaimed the winner Martin still wanted to fight and slapped Joey hard across the face. They exchanged a series of punches that sent Joey down to the mat. Martin then whipped him into the ropes and crushed him with a heavy knee to the midsection. Joey went down hard and Martin lay across him and counted out his own 1..2..3. He got up and left the ring quickly, anger flashing across his face. When he got to Tommy he looked at him and said, "Where the hell were you!" Tommy went to answer and Martin shoved him aside hard to the wall and made his way to the locker room. Tommy just watched him rubbing his shoulder.
