punk_wrestler2000 Tag Team: Cody/Dane Vs Rick/Carter

Rick and Carter had just been informed Trace and Kale wanted a title match. They knew they could not refuse, but they could pick when the match would take place.

Before they could face Kale and trace they wanted to be prepared. They needed to take on a tough HW tag team.

Rick and Carter remembered all to well their last meeting with Trace and Kale. They had been hammered outside the arena by the Outlaws. Rick and Carter still needed to deal with that.

They knew facing Kale and trace healthy would be tough. They decided to seek out some help.

Cody and Dane were in the ring practicing. It was the first time in a while the two teens had practiced together.

Carter and Rick stood back watching the former champ and the current champ tossing each other all over the ring. They exchanged whispers as they watched the two tough HW wrestlers practice.

Both Carter and Rick were ripped, but they were not as ripped as Dane. Nor were their biceps as big as Cody's. But all in all Rick and Carter thought they could give the former champs a run for their money in a tag match.

Cody and Dane noticed the current tag champs watching them. They halted their action and stepped from the ring to chat with Rick and Carter.

The four teens chatted for a while then Carter told Cody and Dane why they were here.

"Kale and trace want a match. We accepted but we want to take on another tough HW team in a non-title match. Sort of as a warm up. Thought maybe you guys would be game." Carter said.

Cody and Dane exchanged glances. They had not wrestled as partners in some months. "Man we have not tagged in months. Not sure we would be your best opponents." Cody said.

Dane cut him off. "Come on, Cody. Think of the hype. Former tag champs taking on the current tag champs. Man, win or lose its an awesome match." Dane said. He was eager to get back in the ring with his best friend.

Rick spoke, "Guys, it would be good practice for us and it would be a hard match, but one with no grudges and no title at stake. But still we would give it our all. We really want to see how we perform against another HW team." Rick said quietly.

Cody clapped Rick on his shoulder. "We know you would give it your all. Being champs you give every match 110%."

Carter nodded. "And who better to challenge then the former tag team champs. You guys are tough and we know you know your way around the ring."

Dane smiled. "Guys we would be glad to accept your challenge. Cody and I have wanted a tag match and we did not want to face smaller opponents. You guys will be good match up."

Carter noticed Dane did not say an easy victory, or use the word win. He had said good match up. Carter knew then that Dane and Cody had respect for them. That made this seem a lot easier.

Rick knew Cody and Dane would wrestle fair and above board. They detested cheaters.

The four teens shook hands and agreed to try and get the match on the upcoming card.

The commissioners were happy to schedule this match for Saturday's card. They already had two great matches on tap and this would cap off a great evening of wrestling.

The audience was still pumped from the preceding two matches. Drew's defeat by Joey had been as unexpected as Corwin's win over Kane. Now they were going to get a tag team match.

Kale and Trace were in the audience. They wanted to see how Rick and Carter handle some real competition. They also wanted to get a good look at the two teen's styles. Kale and Trace could taste the Tag Team titles.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN OUR LAST MATCH OF THE EVENING IS A TAG TEAM MATCH. IT IS A NON-TITLE MATCH."

"FIRST MAKING THEIR WAY TO THE RING AT A COMBINED WEIGHT OF 435 POUNDS ARE THE FORMER TW TAG TEAM CHAMPS, CODY AND DANE."

The audience went into an uproar as Cody and Dane strutted down the aisle together. Loud cheers resounded through the arena.

Cody and Dane stopped and shook hands with some of their fans. The two former HW champs leapt over the top rope in unison.

"AND THEIR OPPONENTS, THE CURRENT TW TAG TEAM CHAMPS, WEIGHING IN AT A COMBINED WEIGHT OF 351 POUNDS, CARTER AND RICK."

The young girls were on their feet as the PRETTY BOY tag champs ran to the ring. Rick and Carter were lookers and the girls appreciated seeing them strut their stuff.

Rick and Carter knew they had a battle coming from the former champs and were glad this was a non-title match.

The audience was pumped. Even being non-title they knew this was going to be good.

All four teens had awesome physiques. The four champs moved to the center of the ring to be checked over for foreign objects and listen to the rules.

The four well-built teens shook hands and moved back to their corners.

Rick remained in the ring, as did Cody.

The two teens locked up ad Carter and Dane watched from their corners.

Rick felt Cody's muscle power as the former champ muscled him back to a neutral corner.

The ref called for the break and Cody broke cleanly.

They locked up again and Rick muscled Cody into a side headlock and cranked on the pressure.

Cody could feel Rick's hard biceps grinding his ears and head. Cody shot a quick hard elbow to Rick's gut. Rick grunted but maintained his hold. Cody fired to more hard elbows to Rick's abs, then flung the teen to the ropes. Rick hurled back and decked Cody with a shoulder block.

Cody was back to his feet quickly.

Again they locked up. Cody flung Rick back first to the ropes. As Rick hit the ropes he tagged Carter.

The ref saw the tag. Cody set and back body dropped Rick as he ricocheted off the ropes. Rick hit the canvas hard.

Cody pivoted and aimed a knee for Rick's gut. Carter was through the ropes, now the legal man in, He gripped Cody's head and bull dogged the HW wrestler to the mat.

Rick was back up and he and Carter took a few seconds of liberty and double teamed the sunned Cody. They rolled him to his back and dropped a double elbow to his chest. They then lifted the dazed teen and double gutbusted him. Cody rolled to the canvas as Rick exited the ring.

Carter bent down and drug Cody to his feet. He whipped the former champ to the ropes and drove a big knee deep to his stomach on the rebound. Cody whished out his air as he flipped over Carter's knee and landed flat on his back.

Dane was impressed. Carter and Rick worked well as a team.

Carter moved like lightening. He dropped a closed fist to Cody's taunt stomach. Carter then hooked Cody's legs and rolled him to his stomach and cinched on a Boston Crab.

Dane looked worried as Cody was cinched up in the center of the ring.

Kale and Trace were watching the match and were quite surprised to see Carter and Rick manhandling Cody.

Dane decided it was time to lend his buddy a hand. He shot through the ropes and nailed Carter with a clothesline. Carter released the hold as Dane drilled him across the chest.

Cody rolled quickly to his corner and tagged Dane.

Dane shot through the ropes and nailed Carter with a knee to his back as he was standing up. Carter flew into his own corner and quickly tagged Rick.

Rick and Dane circled. Rick raised his hands for a test of strength. Dane nodded and stepped forward. As their hands touched, Rick drove a hard knee lift to Dane's taunt abs. Dane grunted and doubled slightly. Rick hooked his head and drove him to his knees with a front face lock. The ref checked to make sure it wasn't a choke hold.

Dane bided his time. He hooked his hands around Rick's waist and stood to his feet. Rick released the front face lock and Dane power slammed him to the mat. Rick was driven down hard. He arched up from the impact and Dane laid two hard stomps to his muscular abs.

Rick grunted and rolled towards Carter. Dane grabbed his leg and pulled him back to the middle of the ring. Dane flipped Rick to his back grasped his legs, spread them and stomped down hard to the teen's gut twice more. Dane then drug Rick over to his corner and tagged Cody.

Carter charged to break up the inevitable double team, but the ref headed him off.

Cody entered the ring from the top rope, driving his foot hard to Rick's gut. Rick grunted. Dane and Cody lifted Rick from the mat and Irish whipped him to the ropes. They greeted Rick with a double knee lift to the gut, then gripped his arms and lifted him applying a double gutbuster.

Rick whished out his air as he fell to the mat. Dane stepped out of the ring and let Cody take over. Cody reached down and lifted Rick from the mat. He slapped on an abdominal stretch.

Carter watched as Cody stretched his cousin out and applied the pressure.

Rick gasped for air as he felt his abdominals starting to burn. He knew taking on Dane and Cody would be tough, but Cody was stronger then he had thought.

Rick was sweating as Cody slammed an abdominal claw on to his abs. Rick grunted loudly as he felt Cody's strong fingers dig in deep.

Rick knew he had to do something. He snaked his arm around Cody's waist then in an incredible show of strength he flipped Cody over his hip. Rick fell to his knees and crawled to his corner. His finger tips just touched Carter's hands as Cody gripped his legs and pulled him back to the center of the ring.

Cody saw the tag and turned to face Carter. Carter leveled Cody with a perfectly timed flying drop kick to the chest.

Cody back stepped and tripped over the kneeling Rick. Cody fell to his back. Rick grabbed his legs as Carter hit the ropes and bounced off delivering a bionic elbow to Cody's chest.

It was very apparent Cody and Dane were a little rusty as tag team partners.

Cody grunted and rolled towards Dane. He felt Carter grab his legs. Cody kicked out catching Carter in the stomach. Cody sprang forward and tagged Dane.

Rick had finally gotten out of the ring. Dane moved in as Carter stood to his feet.

Dane charged Carter and hit him with a cross body block. Carter stumbled back into a neutral corner. Dane charged in and slammed a big knee to Carter's stomach. Dane locked eyes with Cody. Cody knew the signal and stuck his foot through the ropes. Dane whipped Carter towards Cody.

Carter was ready and reversed the move sending Dane crashing gut first to Cody's foot. Dane whished out his air and fell to his knees.

Carter moved like a cat. He gripped Dane's head and bull dogged him to the mat.

Carter reached down and pulled Dane up, locking the current HW champ in a well applied full nelson. He walked Dane over to an anxious Rick.

Dane was struggling but the blow to his gut had severely winded him.

Cody charged into the ring to break up the potential double team on his partner and best friend.

Rick saw Cody charging Carter and was through the ropes quickly.

Rick hit Cody with a flying elbow to the chest. Cody was knocked to the ropes.

Rick then hit Cody with a standing drop kick and knocked him through the ropes to the floor.

Rick then headed back to his corner. Carter still had Dane cinched up in the full nelson. As Rick walked by he slammed a hard sledgehammer blow to Dane's gut.

Dane grunted and Carter forced him to his knees with the powerfully applied full nelson.

Cody was back to the ring apron.

Carter again started to walk Dane towards Rick. Cody again charged through the ropes. Rick wasted no time. The two teens locked up and Cody belly to belly suplexed Rick to the mat.

Cody then stood as the ref started to count. He walked by Carter and drove a double fisted blow to his lower back forcing him to release the hold on Dane.

The ref escorted Cody from the ring. As he did Rick got back to his feet and tagged Dane with a hard front kick to the stomach. As Dane doubled, Carter drove a knee lift to his head sending Dane through the ropes and to the arena floor.

By this time Rick was back in his corner.

Dane got slowly to his knees. He gripped the edge of the mat and pulled himself to his feet.

Dane gripped the ropes and pulled himself to the ring apron. Carter charged, hooked his arms and suplexed him back into the ring. Carter tagged Rick and gripped Dane's legs. He held the HW champ wide-open as Rick dove off the tope rope and landed a knee drop to Dane's solar plexus.

Carter slipped out of the ring as Rick took over on the dazed Dane.

Rick pulled Dane to his knees then hooked his head between his legs. Cody knew what was being set up and charged. Carter was ready and leapt over the ropes and tackled Cody driving him back first to the mat.

Cody and Carter started exchanging hard body shots as Rick set Dane and pile drove him to the mat.

Cody heard his buddy gasp. He tried to get away from Carter, but Carter was launching lefts and rights to his body and Cody had to defend himself.

Cody finally threw Carter off just as the ref's hand hit the mat for the three count.

The bell sounded.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN YOUR WINNERS OF THE NON-TITLE TAG TEAM MATCH ARE THE CURRENT REIGNING TW TAG TEAM CHAMPS: RICK AND CARTER."

Trace and Kale could not believe Dane and Cody had lost to the two pretty boys.

But that meant nothing. Next week would be the deciding match. Next week Trace and Kale had no doubt they would walk out of here the NEW CHAMPS.

Cody helped Dane to his feet as Rick and Carter took their bows. The four teens then moved towards each other and shook hands.

Rick and Carter felt more confident facing Trace and Kale after this match.

The four teens left the ring together. Back in the locker room Rick and Carter thanked Cody and Dane for a hard fought match.

Dane's neck was still sore from the pile driver. He glanced at Rick.

"You guys have some good teamwork. With that kind of skill you should fair well against the big boys."

Rick nodded. "We hope so. Hey would guys mind another practice match before we make our title defense?"

Dane clapped Rick on the back. "Sure, we'll practice with you guys. Besides Cody and I need the tag team practice. We've been out of tag action way to long."

The four guys grabbed a quick shower and changed clothes. They agreed to head off to grab something to eat then meet at Cody's house to work out strategy.
