jimsub81 3 Corner Match Jake Mike&Tom...
The three teen tag team of Jake, Mike & Tom were left sitting as the rest of the wrestlers left after the Chairman had spoken. TW was doing away with the 3 member team concept. Now they had to decide what to do. They could move into singles competition or 1 could voluntarily do so. The three boys had seen little action but from what they had seen they knew they liked it.
One thing they did know; in singles competition there was often little chance of seeing action just because of the amount of wrestlers wanting ring time. In the ranks of the tag teams there was but 21 teams and thus there was more of a chance to see action. None of the three boys wanted to leave tag wrestling so it decided then that the most fair way to handle the situation was to have a 3 corner match and the first boy to be pinned would be the one to leave the team. He could quit TW altogether or go into singles competition.
All of the boys were friends and had been for years. They didn't look forward to fighting each other but as they left the office after having arranged the match the reality of it set it. In just a few days they would be in the ring battling each other for the right to stay part of their tag team. The loser would be cut loose.
Their match was ready to start. The three friends stood beside each other nervous yet committed. Mixed feeling abounded as they were about to fight against, instead of with, one another. None of them wanted to be one of the first ones in the ring. They found a deck of cards and cut them to see who was the lucky one to sit out the first round. Tom cut a two. He knew he was in. Mike cut a ten and was worried. Jake drew a nine. Mike won. He'd get to sit out the first round.
"Our next match is a special Three Corner Match! As most of you know Teen Wrestling is eliminating all three man tag teams. In this match the three members of one of those teams will take on one another. The first boy to be pinned will be forced to retire or move to singles competition. Two opponents will enter and must remain in action for at least ONE MINUTE before tagging out again! So lets give a big round of applause to: JAKE, ... MIKE, ... AND TOM!" The three boys ran to the ring. The crowd somehow seemed feel their predicament. There were real stakes on the line here not just W's and L's. They applauded them loudly even though they were not well known.
The boys took the ring and faced off for the first time as opponents. All were roughly the same size. Jake was 5'9" and 160, Mike was 5'8" and 150 and Tom stood 5' 9" and weighed 155. Jake & Mike were 16 years old while Tom was 15. All were solidly built and fit. The three shook hands and took their corners. The match to rid TW of one of it 3-man tag teams was under way. As the bell rang...
Jake started against Tom. Even though there was plenty of time for the boys to devise a strategy where 2 would save themselves and team up on the third none of them even considered it.
They moved in for a collar & elbow lock up. Both boys seemed evenly matched in the strength department as they warily came in to each other. They made contact then seemed to break it simultaneously. They gave each other a nervous smile and went in for another. They pressed a little harder this time. Tom began to force Jake's head around into a lock but Jake pressed back and broke free. Again they separated but this time flashed no smile. They closed in for a third time.
This time they gripped each other hard and braced their feet sturdily as they tried to kick the other off balance. Jake began to slowly slide Tom's buzz cut blonde head into a side head lock. Tom fought off the move but Jake was just that much stronger and soon Tom's head was pressed against Jake's right ribcage. Jake ground down and squeezed the trapped boy's head and Tom felt it. He also felt anger welling up inside him as his fighting spirit asserted itself.
Tom wrapped his left arm around Jake's back and launched a fist to the left side of Jake's upper abs. Jake squeezed Tom's head harder and Tom threw three more shots to the upper gut. Now it was Jake beginning to anger as he felt Tom's fists slamming his stomach. Jake gave a final squeeze to the head. Tom fired his hardest shot yet to Jake's abs. Both boys grunted and Jake ended the embrace by lifting a knee to Tom's face sending him to his back.
Jake rubbed the right side of his upper abs where a red spot now shown brightly. Tom was down and holding his face and Jake strode over him. He dropped an elbow to the stomach and rose. Tom's buzz hair cut prevented him being lifted by his hair so Jake went for the ears. He pulled Tom up from behind and shot a punch to the lower back. Tom lurched forward and Jake grabbed him by the nape of the neck and by the waist band of his trunks. Jake "drove" Tom head first into the neutral turnbuckle. Tom slumped into the corner. Jake then formed a double ax handle and cracked it down hard onto Tom's lower back. Tom fell to his knees slumping forward even more. Jake straddled his back and grabbed his ears again and bounced his face off the middle turnbuckle.
Jake was fully engulfed in the fire of combat now. He turned the younger boy over and dropped a knee to his navel. Tom gasped as he was winded by the blow. He was already hurting from the pounding Jake had given him. Jake prepared to drop another knee as he raised up. But Tom was burning mad as well as hurt and before Jake go to his feet Tom lashed out a foot that caught Jake in the breadbasket. Jake doubled over with eyes wide as saucers as the unexpected blow drove deep into his unflexed stomach and knocked all his breath away.
Tom, buoyed by his success, got up and began driving Jake across the ring with strong, well place forearm blocks. At the rings center Tom the grabbed an arm a spun Jake to the ropes. Jake's recoil was greeted with a strong clothesline that slammed him across the chest and put him flat. Now Tom dropped his knee to Jake's stomach. Tom then showed some impressive strength and heaved up Jake into a body slam. Jake went crashing hard to the mats and Tom followed right back with another knee to the gut. Tom was sweating and breathing hard but he felt victory within reach. he rolled Jake over to his belly and went to apply a camel clutch.
Jake felt himself being turned. He was hurting but still had fight in him. He didn't want to be caught in a hold he knew was Tom's best one. Jake did a hard push up before Tom was in place and flung his back up and into Tom knocking him backwards. Jake spun and got to his feet. Again the two boys slowly circled each other. Memories of being teammates and friends were forgotten. Both were panting and sweating as they wanted nothing more than to pin the other...Totally forgotten about was the third teen, Mike.
They both let out a war cry and slammed into each other hitting chests and interlocking fingers. A mere five pounds separated them and the test of strength was a close as one could possibly be. Back and forth they went. Bodies sweating, hearts pounding and chests heaving. Jake began to power back Tom just little and Tom felt it. He went with it and dropped to his back taking Jake along with him. Tom raised a knee as they fell and Jake's belly impacted it as the hit the mats.
Jake lay over the upraised knee motionless for a moment and Tom smacked him aside the head to send him to the mats. Tom then went to pounce on him and try a pin but Jake caught his head and used his momentum to roll him over into a small package. Tom was stunned as the referee began smacking the mats. He put everything he had into a body jerk and freed himself just in time.
Jake was up faster and stomped Tom's back putting him belly down to the canvas. A spearing knee to the same spot had Tom gritting his teeth in pain. Again Jake raised up to drop another. Tom sensed Jake's movements and rolled over and swiped a foot under Jake's before he could drop the knee. Jake went toppling forward and Tom lurched himself at him planting his shoulder into Jake's sternum knocking him off to the side wheezing for breath.
Jake had rolled near the ring's edge. Tom came over and smacked a kick to his ribs sending him out and on to the arena floor. Tom slide out right behind him laid in three more kicks to the older teen's chest and ribs before picking him up and ramming his chest into the ring apron. Jake started to crumple but Tom supported him. Twenty minutes ago if you had told Tom he would be gut busting Jake off the steel barrier he would have said you were nuts. But that's exactly what he did! Jake folded over the metal rail and thought he would lose his lunch.
Tom draped the crushed boy over his shoulder in a fireman's carry and climbed the steps to the ring. He mounted the second rope in the corner and tossed Jake's limp form back into the ring. Jake splattered across the mats and didn't move. Tom then got to the top rope and meant to finish Jake off for good. He sprung in his high risk move aiming his elbow and side with all his 155 pounds of driving weight at the prone body. Jake summoned some inner strength and rolled away. Tom came slamming down onto the canvas crushing his own ribs. He rolled over to his side hugging his chest.
Jake was battered beyond belief. He didn't know if he had the strength to finish off Tom even in Tom's currently wounded state. Then it suddenly dawned on him. HE didn't have to do it. There was still Mike outside who was forgotten about by both he and Tom.
Jake pulled himself across the canvas on his hands and knees and reached out a hand to Mike. Mike looked at his battered and even helped him over the ropes. Mike then approached Tom feeling those same emotions that Jake and Tom had at the beginning of the match.
Tom had pulled himself up the ropes. His chest was still hurting from his missed move but he swore he'd prevail against Jake. when he turned there was no Jake, just Mike. Tom was a little startled to see a different opponent but it dawned on him to about Mike still being involved. But Tom no longer had those inhibitions about fighting a friend. He was at war and now Mike was the enemy.
Tom let out a yell that actually scared Mike as Tom smashed a clothesline across his throat. Mike went down but not for long as Tom hauled him up and down in a belly to belly suplex. Tom was overcome with a primitive animal fighting instinct and drove a foot to Mike's crotch. Mike groaned and Tom lifted him over his shoulder in a back breaker. Mike was till processing his situation as he was racked with pain. Tom didn't hold the breaker long though and he dumped Mike to the canvas stomach first.
Tom yanked Mike up from behind and lifted him into an atomic drop. Mike went stumbling forward toward Jake's corner. Tom's driving shoulder block got him there faster as he crushed Mike into the turnbuckles.
Tom tagged in Jake. Their tag team instincts took over and each grabbed one of Mike's arms and whipped him to the ropes. Mike's rebound was met by upraised knee lifts that plowed his lower belly sending him ass over head to the mats.
Tom exited. Mike lay flat on his back heaving for air. Jake bounced off the second rope and crushed a double knee drop to Mike's gut. Mike arched in pain but Jake's weight on his chest flattened him. A hook of the leg and the referee counted , "One, Two, Three!". The bell rang. It was over.
Jake was still pumped up and raised his hands in victory. Tom came in to congratulate him. The feelings of anger toward him were gone. They had forged a common bond as they sorted out their initial feelings of apprehension of fighting each other. Their rough battle had drawn them closer. Ironically, Mike's winning the card draw to stay out of the first round had cost him dearly.
Mike was slowly getting to his feet and the celebrating Jake and Tom saw him. They suddenly felt guilty about celebrating Mike's loss. They went over to him to help him up. Jake said, "Mike, hey man, you OK?" Mike had tears in his eyes but not from physical pain and said to both of them, "Get your fucking hands off me! Bastards!" Mike was normally the soft spoken one of the bunch and Tom the hot head. Both were taken back by his anger but somehow understood it and let him go. Mike slid out of the ring and went to the locker room. The crowd gave the "Winners" a nice round of applause as they had show the audience a good round of action. They exited to go talk to Mike again. They knew he was hurting and wanted to make things OK between them.
They found him by his locker with a towel around his waist. Mike looked at them as he stood there with his lower lip quivering as he fought off crying, "OK you guys win. I'm history. I hope you're happy!" He turned his back and Tom said , "Awe come on Mike, you're still our friend. It could have been any of us." Mike turned and said to Tom, "I didn't see you kick HIM in the balls!" Tom lowered his head and said, "I'm sorry about that I just got caught up in the fight." Mike just shot back with the all encompassing, "Fuck You!" Jake then said, "Mike you knew this could happen please don't be like this. You're still our friend and you can still be in the league and wrestle. We didn't gang up on you." Mike was sure Jake was lying and said to him , "Really? Really Jake? Then hows come I was the only one to get double teamed!!!!?? You're a fucking liar Jake and Tom you're a cheap shotting asshole. You deserve each other!"
Mike stomped off to the showers. Jake and Tom looked at each other and shrugged. They really had not planned it but they could see how Mike may have thought they had. Making things "OK" between them was not going to be as easy as Jake & Tom first thought.
