Lucien - after the beatings RyanCarrWeber

"...Lucien's injuries were not serious, but he would have the pain to remind him of his recent defeats for the next couple of weeks.

For now the "Pig Boy" of TW had been put on the spit and roasted.

But Lucien would be back, meaner than ever and wanting revenge."

... Or so he thought. When the heavyweight junior got home that evening, he collapsed onto his bed and was nearly asleep when his step-father walked in a few moments later.

"Lucien, listen, we need to talk." Lucien rolled over and looked tiredly at the older man, who continued, "your mother and I know you love wrestling... but we've decided you need a sabbatical. You've been wrestling far too much, and your grades are suffering for it."

Lucien's eyes filled with rage and he was soon sitting up, looking ominously like he was about to attack the man. He shouted, "you can't make me quit - it's all I have that I enjoy doing!"

His stepfather simply raised a hand to quiet the teen. "We're not telling you to quit. Take a break. When your grades become acceptable again, and all those bruises are gone, you can go back. But for now, our decision is final."

The next day, Lucien's step-father called the administrator of Teens Wrestling and explained, "it's just too much. I know it's all for fun, what the boys do on the weekends, but it's gotten out of hand for Lucien. He started it for exercise and fun, and now it's about revenge and vendettas, and not about the wrestling. He's out until you hear from me again."

The news of Lucien's sabbatical swept the locker room at TW the next weekend.

A few of the wrestlers showed some remorse, but the light weights showed none.

Tommy, Will and Chaz were almost ecstatic thinking their tormentor would not be around for a while.

But deep down they knew he would return, and do so with a vengeance.

Gerrit felt the worst. He knew he should have refused the match with Lucien after the light weight guys had done their number on him. But he had wanted revenge.

Gerrit felt partly responsible. He and Roby decided after today's matches to stop and visit the big heavy weight and make sure he was all right.

No one had wanted the big burly wrestler to get injured or take a leave, but he had brought it on himself by bullying the smaller guys.

Most of the locker room banter was on congratulating the light weights and putting the big guy out.

When Gerrit was approached and congratulated, he lost his cool.

"We all know that was never the intent. Things got out of hand. No one meant for him to get injured or take a leave. "

Cody laid a hand on Gerrit's shoulder, "Take it easy. No one is blaming you. But he did get what he deserved. He was asking for it. No one in their right mind would climb in the ring knowing he had a solo match on the horizon and take on three other wrestlers."

Gerrit nodded, but he felt no better. Tomorrow he and Roby would go visit Lucien and set things right.

That was if Lucien would allow the animosity to end.
