jimsub81 Austin Vs Joey: Prelude
Austin was just one of the many new middleweights trying to get used to being in the new surroundings of the TW facility. Even though he and the rest of the JW wrestlers had been incorporated into TW several weeks ago he still didn't feel quite at home yet. As a result he tried to get in his workouts at off peak periods when there were fewer others trying to use the equipment.
It was early after school hours when Austin got to the facility. He changed into the tight fitting sleeveless shirt he liked to work out in. As he passed by a mirror he stopped for a moment to look at his well put together form. He had worked hard to get the look he currently sported with its hard, flat stomach and nicely bulging pectorals. His arms and back were equally well muscled. But what Austin was most proud of were his legs. They were long and showed the many hours of work he had put into them. He gave his biceps one last flex and didn't wonder for a second why so many girls practically threw themselves at him daily. He was a good looking muscleboy and knew it. As he heard a locker slam behind the row where he was he decided to get out into the exercise room before whoever it was beat him to the machines he may want to use.
Austin saw that there was only three other guys in the whole room and most all of the nautilus machines were open to use. He settled down onto the arm curl machine as today was his upper body work out day. He was just finishing the last of his reps when one of TW's other young, well built guys entered. Joey flashed Austin a wide smile along with a , "How you doin?" Austin returned the greeting with a simple nod. Austin wiped the arm curl machine and moved over to the triceps one. Joey moved right over to the biceps machine Austin had just vacated. He checked the weight and moved it one notch heavier. Austin noticed it but continued on with his work out. He finished the triceps and moved over to the lat pull. Joey then moved over to the triceps machine and again moved the weight up a notch.
This procedure was repeated on the lat pull and the military press before Austin exploded at what he perceived was this fellow wrestler trying to show him up by moving the weight up on every machine he used. "What the fuck man!" , Austin said, "if you're trying to say something just say it!" Joey's face went blank at the unexpected outburst and said, "Man I have no idea what you're talkin about!" Austin said, "Don't give me that innocent shit. You could have started on any machine in here and you started right behind me and make a big show about increasing the weight on every machine I used. I don't like people trying to make me look bad!" Joey truly wasn't trying to show Austin up. He just happened to like the same routine Austin had started. He said, "Listen man, I was not trying to show anything. I just set the weight where I like it. It happened to be a little more than you were using...no big deal. Just chill!"
"You expect me to believe that? I know when someone's riding my ass! I bet you think you could take me in the ring too!" Joey had tried to defuse the situation but apparently the new guy was not about to let the matter drop. His honor challenged Joey had to accept, "I don't know for sure if I could take you or not. I never saw you in action. But I know I've beaten bigger, tougher guys than you so to answer your question, Yeah, I think I could take you." Austin said, "Well then lets go work it out. I'd love for you to be my first victory in this league!" They went off and signed up for the next available slot.
As more and more wrestlers made their way into the facility Joey caught up with best friend Patrick and new buddy Dale who had come from the JW league. When he told them he had signed to fight Austin Dale became almost angered, "I thought we said we'd talk to each other before signing matches with guys we didn't know? You'd tell me about the guys who were already here and I'd tell you about the JW guys, like Austin! Remember how mad you guys were when I signed on to fight Stefan without asking you about him?" "Yeah," said Joey, "but," Dale broke in, "But nothing! Joey, Austin is one mean sonofabitch! He's strong, tough and almost seems to like to hurt guys when he fights. He's like TW's Jacoby and Taylor rolled up in one!"
Joey knew Dale was talking sense but he had not been there. Had he he would have known that accepting the challenge was his only option. "Well, its a done deal now. We fight in two days. Maybe you can give me some pointers on how to beat him Dale." Dale seemed a bit less angry but was still quite concerned for his new friend, "How to beat Austin? Well, he has lost before, once to Geoffrey, man that wasn't pretty! And once to Jimmy when he fought a rare solo bout when Barry was out sick. Geoffrey won't give you the time of day but I bet Jimmy would help. Austin pulled some nasty moves on him. Jimmy hates his ass!"
Joey, Dale and Patrick went off to find Jimmy as he practiced with his tag team partner Barry. When he heard that Joey was to take on Austin Jimmy was more than willing to help Joey all he could. Apparently it was exactly as Dale had put it; Jimmy DID hate Austin's ass!
The two days passed quickly and soon Joey stood in the locker room waiting to be introduced. With him were Patrick as usual, Dale and Jimmy along with Barry. The tag team had gotten to be good friends with Joey and Patrick in the short time they spent together prepping Joey. All hoped Joey would do well against Austin and pumped up his confidence level. But Dale and Jimmy confessed to each other only that neither felt that Joey stood a chance.
"Our next match is a middleweight event. First, making his TW debut, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing in at 162 pounds...AUSTIN!" Austin trotted to the ring and everyone watching was impressed with his physique. The very small green bikini let the crowd see as much as possible without becoming X-rated. If his ring skills were even close to his training skills he promised to be formidable. Those watching who knew Austin were already well aware of his ability in the ring. "And, his opponent, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing in at 160 pounds...JOEY!" The crowd had loved Joey for a long time and it showed as they cheered madly for him as he ran to the ring with his usual beaming smile clad in his standard, skimpy orange bikini that also left little to the crowd's imagination.
The two boys faced off. They were almost identical in size and both had terribly well built forms. Austin's pecs bulged slightly more and Joey had a little more definition in his abs. But the differences were slight at best. They looked as evenly matched as two opponents could be. They moved to their corners and the bell rang...
Following the outstanding heavyweight battle between Ryan and newcomer Terry and before the showdown of the four HW 4-corners match winners there were to be a few filler matches. The bout between newcomer Austin and long time TW favorite Joey was to be of those matches.
Both boys were really pumped up for the match. Joey was at last ready to square off against the guy his new friends thought was so formidable. Austin's incentives were twofold; he wanted to make a good first impression and he wanted to take Joey down a peg or two for the weight room incident.
They collided full force as they locked up. Their arms were right at head level and their legs were wide apart as they jockeyed for position and strained against the might of the other. For nearly a minute the two did their odd dance around the ring locked in their test of strength and will. Then, almost as if they realized it at the same time, the two broke off shoving the other back a step. They looked at each other with determination in their eyes as their sweat soaked chests heaved up and down.
Austin charged. Joey countered and grabbed the back of Austin's neck and threw him into the corner. Austin hit hard and Joey ran in.
Austin ducked down and Joey's chest hit the top turnbuckle.
Austin then belted Joey in the lower abdomen.
Austin was still on the mats beneath Joey and sprung up ramming his shoulder into the bottom of Joey's chin. Austin actually heard Joey's teeth click together as he drove the blonde muscleboy to his back quite stunned.
Joey was still down as Austin continued over to the ropes bouncing off them and dropping back with an elbow to Joey's stomach. He then jerked Joey up by the hair and used his long legs by way of a standing drop kick that sent Joey falling through the ropes to the arena floor.
Austin followed right out after him as the referee counted him. But Austin knew he had al the time in the world to dish out what he had planned. He pulled Joey up and kept him winded with a hard knee to the gut followed by bouncing Joey's face off the ring apron had the cute muscleboy down on his knees.
The referee began counting on Austin as soon as he started his attack. Before the DQ was reached Austin threw Joey's battered body back into he ring with a slight look of disdain. Austin climbed to the top rope and looked down almost contemptuously as Joey. He leapt aiming an elbow at his weakened target. Joey caught a glimpse of Austin in mid leap through his pain filled eyes and managed to roll just out of the way.
Austin's left rib cage hit hard on the mats from the high fall. He managed to get to his knees but the handsome brunette wrestler was smarting badly. Joey reacted instinctively and shot a kick into Austin's chest knocking him down again. Joey rolled across the ring to try and recover a little. Austin too was now hurting as he pulled himself up the ropes massaging his hurting side. Joey saw Austin struggling for the first time in the match. Even though he was far from ready Joey launched his offensive.
Joey sent a heavy boot to the small of Austin's back followed by one right behind the knees knocking the leg support out. Austin fell back and Joey practically fell across Austin with a body splash. But Austin got himself out of the unexpected pin by actually pressing Joey's 160 pounds off him. Austin just proved to everyone that he was one tough, strong guy!
Both teen grapplers got to their feet and laid into each other with a furious assault on the ripped torso of the other. The hard bodies of both boys absorbed the blows but neither would give the satisfaction of letting the other see that the shots were really painful.
Austin broke off and lunged forward with a clothesline hoping to catch Joey off his guard. It was a good plan had it been used against someone with much less ring experience. Joey saw the move the whole way and caught Austin in a frontal bear hug that he turned into a belly to belly suplex. Austin went a little limp as Joey crushed him to the mats. Joey sent a hard punch to the right pectoral as he got up. Austin managed to grab Joey's ankle as he did tripping him forward.
Austin was still not over the effects of the suplex but he showed his ring ability now as he jumped on Joey's back slamming his butt into the small of in. He went in for a camel clutch as Joey let out a slight grunt of pain.
Joey tended to lose as many matches as he won but always put on a tough performance. He once again showed his ring skill and sensed the move coming. Joey lunged backward with all he had before being incapacitated. The back of his head struck Austin's chin. Austin fell off to his side with his head spinning. Joey then grabbed an arm and Irish whipped Austin to the ropes but Austin amazingly reversed it. Joey came bouncing off the rope and surprised everyone ,including Austin, by landing a flying forearm before Austin could land his clothesline.
Austin was flattened as Joey continued over to the other side of the ring and used those ropes to help launch his high body splash. But Austin raised his knee and allowed it to spear deeply into Joey's taunt belly. Joey rolled across the ring hugging his midsection but he still struggled to get up. Austin was hurting too and Joey was proving to be tougher than he thought he would. He grabbed Joey and spun up around and into a hard fist to the upper abs. Joey folded in half and was in perfect position for Austin to toss him over in a back suplex. WHAM! Joey's back hit hard. As he lay stunned Austin dropped an elbow right into his forehead!
Joey wrapped both arms over his head and kicked at the mats. Austin's last three moves had taken a big toll. Austin then shielded his next move from the referee. He grabbed Joey around the head and rolled as if to make a pin. But with his free hand he sent four hard closed fists to the top of Joey's head. Joey cried out and stomped the mats futilely.
Patrick was sitting with Dale, Jimmy and Barry and said to nobody in particular, "Damn that Austin's a sneaky bastard!" Dale agreed, "You got that right! And he's being rather tame at the moment too!" The four looked at the match like they might look at car wreck. They didn't want to see their friend getting toasted but had watch.
With Joey semi out of it Austin took control. He stomped down with seven hard boot blasts that landed alternately on Joey's chest and stomach. He followed the stomps with a crotch slam showing that he not only had skill and strength but stamina as well. Joey went bouncing as he was deposited hard.
Austin then dropped his 162 pounds into a knee that crushed Joey's proud ab muscles. The muscleboy coughed and arched up holding his belly. Austin pulled Joey to the center of the ring.
Patrick asked the former JW boys, "What's he doing?" Jimmy& Barry and Dale all shrugged. Jimmy said, "I don't know but I bet it ain't good!"
Austin then kicked Joey's knees out from behind and made him kneel. He then sat down on Joey's feet so that the two were back to back. Austin then reached up and grabbed Joey around the chin and pulled down! Joey grimaced and groaned almost immediately. His legs were useless under Austin's weight. His arms flailed helplessly as Austin applied what could only be described as a modified, kneeling camel clutch.
He jerked down and Joey's body looked to be bending in half in a place where it should not be bending. He could take only a few moments of the painful hold and called out, "OK OK..I give, I GIVE!" Austin gave the hold a final tug and let Joey fall limp to the mats.
The bell was ringing as the announcer said, "Here is your winner in his debut appearance by submission hold...AUSTIN!" The crowd hated to see Joey lose but had to admit that Austin had earned the victory. He had also showed them a new finishing hold. They reluctantly gave him the applause he had earned.
Joey's four friends were on their way into the ring to help him up. But amazingly Austin was there first with an extended hard. Joey looked up weakly at it. Maybe the guy's not so bad after all he thought. Austin took a firm hold of the wrist and pulled Joey up hard...Right into a knee to the belly! Joey gasped as his breath left him. Austin dropped him and whispered to his ear, "Let that be a lesson to you! Nobody..I mean NOBODY shows me up, in the ring or in the gym!"
Before Joey's advancing friends could react Austin was out the other side of the ring and headed to the locker room. The fans that had moments earlier cheered him now showered him with boos.
As Austin hit the locker room he was met with many disapproving looks from older members of TW and the former JW boys alike. One who did not give him a dirty look was Stefan. Stefan had wanted to rip Joey apart for a while now and seeing Austin do it was almost as satisfying. He gave Austin a sly grin and thumbs up sign. Austin really didn't even know Stefan but liked his attitude. Plus he thought a guy that well built could be useful as a friend. He returned the smile and the thumbs up.
At last Martin came over and said, "Not very cool man! Not cool at all!" Austin acted nonchalant as he said, "Big deal man. Its all part of the sport. He's OK I just had to drive a point home! What's he to you anyway?" Martin said, "He's just another wrestler who gave you a good match. You won and that's fine but you don't need to act like an asshole about it."
Just then Joey entered supported on one side by Patrick and the other by Dale. Jimmy and Barry were in front. They had caught the last part of Martin's and Austin's exchange. Jimmy stepped forward and said, "I'll second that. Why do you have to be such an ass Austin?" Austin was taken slightly aback by one of only two guys to defeat him. Stefan then evened the odds stepping up beside Austin , "He said he was just making a point. Now why don't the two of you back off?" Austin gave Stefan a closer look. The guy was indeed well built. He was glad for the show of support as Stefan slapped his backside. The tough tag team of Sandy and Hal had been friendly with Austin for quite sometime and now they too stood next to him. Barry quickly rushed to his partner Jimmy's side. The three of them now stared down Austin, Stefan and Sandy & Hal.
Martin was still not frightened in the least he said ,"You all think this jerk is OK huh? Well, I got news for you..He's not and neither are any of you if you think that's the way to act in a match! Maybe the four of you all need a lesson on that!" Austin took a quick look at the impromptu meeting of friends old and new. All three gave him the "go for it" look. Austin stepped right into Martin's face and said, "Well Mister FORMER Middleweight champ, I see four of us and only three of you. I think your a little outnumbered. Or are you three just that good?"
Before Martin could answer a voice said, "They ain't outnumbered at all!" All heads turned to see the very tough MW Daniel. He was always such a staunch loner that everyone was surprised to see him take a side in something like this. But as his and Stefan's eyes locked it became clear as to why he wanted in. He hated Stefan with a passion from their encounter in the four corners match. Daniel said to Martin, "If you need me, If you want me I'd be happy to help teach these boys a lesson." Martin knew well of Daniel's ability and took it gladly. He turned back to Austin and stepped even closer to him and said, "Well, it looks like we got us a little four on four doesn't it?"
Sandy spoke up and said , "Looks like you're right been a good long time since me and Hal's been in a four on four." Austin slight fears vanished as Sandy spoke with such confidence. Besides he knew that Sandy and Hal had beaten Jimmy and Barry in the old JW. He could tell that Stefan was a force to be reckoned with and he knew his own great ability. He sneered at Martin, "Looks like you're right Marty!" Even Austin had learned that Martin hated that name. "So, Marty why don't you and I go take care of the paperwork?" Martin took a final look at his team and felt confident too. He left with Austin for the office. The six remaining boys engaged in a brief verbal exchange before breaking up to see the next match.
