As the team was cleaning up in the locker room they were still on cloud nine. Dane had wanted Cody on his team but understood about Cody having to be out of town for a family thing. But it opened up the way to have Daryl and that turned out to be a great addition. Joey came up and said to Dane, "Too bad Cody wasn't here to see this. He'd have loved it." Cody was just about to turn the corner and congratulate his friends, especially Dane when he heard Dane say , in a joking way, "Who needs Cody anyway?" He really did not mean it as a slight to Cody so much as a compliment to his winning team. But Cody had not heard the whole conversation.
