Re: A Controversial Decision RyanCarrWeber

(18/M/home, NJ; college, MD) 5/7/01 5:38 pm I agree, somewhat, that Jeremy's decision was slightly heavy-handed, though I see his reasoning. I say, Sean, go for the tag defense (the suspension happened after ALL matches on that Saturday), and then hold the other Cody matches until after the 'suspension' ends (and see below for a modification of that), and in the interim, write about some other wrestlers and tag teams.

---------------------------------------------

After the controversial decision made by the Chair, he recieved much favorable reaction from parents of TW's teens. However, the wrestlers were furious. Kevin demanded that his father, one of the three founding parents who oversaw TW (and the next in line for the rotating chairmanship) change the decision. It wasn't that Kevin wanted Cody around - quite to the contrary. But he didn't want this kind of example being set, because Kevin loved to see people other than himself get roughed up.

So, Kevin's dad called the chair, as well as the third member of the small committee, and after much debate, they agreed, because Cody held two titles, and they didn't want to take titles out of commission, that they would give the heavyweight the minimum suspension for accidental injury - two Saturdays. Cody was greatly relieved to hear this, as was his tag partner, Dane.

Kevin smiled, for now he would still be able to rough up his enemies, and Cody, for the time being, was out of the way...
