Randy Vs Bill ...I jimsub81

Randy had been in the league since its inception and had yet to have any real ring action. All it seemed he did was practice, practice, practice. Almost everyone in the league knew and Liked Randy and he was always willing to workout or be a training partner but a match for him could never be worked out. At last he thought he needed to make is mark in a big way, and seeing Martin reenergize his status with an impressive win over Heavyweight Jeff gave him an idea. Randy had seen the smallest kid in the league Myca defeat Heavyweight Bill. If Bill could be beaten by someone the size of Myca surely Randy could take the big guy. Maybe, thought Randy, Bill was just a big wimp afterall.

Randy was in the locker room explaining his theory of Bill's ability or lack there of to his friends Alex and Curtis. Unbeknownst to him Bill was in the next aisle over and heard his whole conversation. 'So', thought Bill, 'Randy thinks I'm a puss and he's gonna make his mark by beating me? Let him try'. Bill knew someone would take this approach to a match with him and was a little surprised it had taken this long for someone to test him. But he was a little surprised it was Randy. Neither Alex nor Curtis were completely convinced either but they realized Randy was a big boy and could make his own decisions. Randy sold his idea to the league as a cross over between weight classes was usually a good promotion. Bill, being fully aware of Randy's motives, readily agreed and the contract was signed and quickly inserted into the next card. The match led off the next night's event.

"Our first match is a interweight class challenge. First our Middleweight standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing in at 159 pounds making his debut....RANDY!" He ran to the ring fully ready to do take on Bill. He drew a polite round of applause as he was really unknown. Nobody trained harder than he did and he was confident in his abilities. "And, his opponent from the Heavyweight division, standing 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing in at 217 pounds...BILL!" He didn't get much more applause than Randy did as many remembered his stunning loss to the little Myca and many onlookers thought he was headed for another defeat. The size difference was obvious as they faced off for instructions but both had something to prove and were very prepared. The only difference was Bill knew Randy's plan and meant to counter it. The bell rang...

Both wanted to come out fast and did. But Bill's size gave him the advantage as he grabbed Randy by the shoulders and flung him backward into the corner. Randy charged back at him but Bill smacked a forearm across the side of his head and Randy veered off to his left stunned. Bill came in behind him and grabbed an arm bending it hard. He drove Randy to another corner and proceeded to bounce his face off the pads ten times. Randy's head was spinning as Bill crotch slammed him easily. Before he could react Bill was pulling him up a second time and tossing him over the top ropes to the floor below. Randy was struggling to his knees when Bill fell from the ropes above driving an elbow to his back. Randy was flattened and hurting as Bill threw him back into the ring as if he were a sack of rags.

Bill aimed to prove his loss to the curious boy Myca was nothing but a fluke and if a basically good guy like Randy had to be sacrificed to make that point then so be it. Bill helped Randy up again and body slammed him. He stomped the middleweight's stomach before hoisting him up again. Bill threw him into the ropes and shot a well aimed elbow to Randy's chest as he rebounded. Randy went down hard to his back and Bill dropped a knee to his gut. Randy curled as he was again pulled up into a crotch slam. Bill sent him down hard again and Randy barely knew where he was. He had put up no offense against the Heavyweight and it looked like he may not get the chance as Bill lifted him up again and brought him down across his knee in a gutbuster. He pushed Randy off his knee and fired a hard punch to his belly. Randy tried to shoot a punch to Bill's midsection as he was pulled up yet again. Bill simply caught Randy's fist and squeezed it bending his arm backward at the same time. Randy was driven to his knees at the pressure on his hand and wrist.

With Randy totally at his mercy Bill whipped a boot tip into his gut causing Randy to slump forward. Bill grabbed him in a side head lock as he pulled him to his feet. Randy was barely up when he was slammed back to the mats in a DDT. All his hours of training appeared to mean nothing as he was being totally manhandled by Bill who was in the process of raising him yet again. Bill whipped him into the ropes and drove a knee into his gut as he bounced off. Randy flipped over the strong leg and landed on his butt. He wrapped both arms around his aching middle his face a picture of agony. Bill sort of felt bad for Randy as the two were friendly usually but Randy had meant to humiliate Bill so Bill got over his guilt quickly and pulled the beat boy up again. Randy was barely able to stand on his own as his legs were wobbly. He didn't have to worry about it long though as Bill's hard forearm smashed into his chest flattening him again. Bill dropped another elbow that plowed deep into Randy's lower belly. The air wooshed from his lungs and Randy just wanted this to end. But Bill felt he had not yet made his point. He pulled Randy up and pressed him over his head three times before tossing him chest first onto the ropes. Randy was catapulted backward onto his back. Bill dropped another elbow to the chest before climbing the ropes. He came down into Randy's stomach with all 217 pounds behind his fist. Randy hurt so bad he thought something broke inside him. Bill put a knee on each of Randy's shoulders pinning him to the mat with his crotch virtually in Randy's face. The referee counted to three and Randy's debut ring appearance was mercifully over.

Despite the pain Randy was not seriously injured. After his victory celebration Bill did feel a bit of remorse and helped Randy to his feet and then back to the locker room. Randy was hurting to bad to care much about the loss. But tomorrow he would come to realize that overconfidence was a bad thing to have in this sport. Bill, for his part, had proven he was not a push over. Nobody was more aware of that than Randy.
