Corwin&Drew Vs Trace&Kale...I jimsub81

Trace and Kale had a few butterflies in their stomachs but in general were ready to square off against Corwin and Drew. They had seen the lighter and incredibly agile teens in action many time but had yet to face them in the ring. They were confident that their wrestling ability and their great strength would overpower the lighter team's speed and high risk maneuvers. When Trace voiced a bit of concern over facing Corwin and Drew Kale correctly pointed out that Corwin and Drew did well against opponents within their size bracket but the one time they faced a heavyweight team, Cody and Dane in the TW tag team championships, they were defeated. Trace took solace in that fact and stood poised with his partner to deal them a crushing defeat.

After their humiliating beating they took in the parking lot the previous Saturday Corwin and Drew were pretty much healed and ready to wrestle. Corwin still had a trace of scratches on his forehead and Drew's abs were just slightly tender but they knew if they were ever to get a crack at the TW tag team title they would have to overcome the huge obstacles named Trace and Kale. They knew that if they were to win they would have to wrestle their game and not get sucked into a slugging contest with the two much larger teens, a contest they would surely lose. Their match was to be the first on the card and the crowd was buzzing in eager anticipation. It was going to be a contrast in wrestling styles and everyone hoped that it would live up to the hype the promoters made it out to be.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, our first match of the evening is a tag team event to decide the top contender spot for the TW tag team title. First, at a combined weight of 475 pounds ...TRACE AND KALE!" . The two muscle teens jogged to the ring and stepped over the top rope. The crowd mostly booed as their opponents were terribly popular but a few cheers were heard quite clearly as well. "And, their opponents, at a combined weight of 327 pounds...CORWIN AND DREW!". The handsome duo charged the ring at top speed,as was their custom, and vaulted the top rope. The crowd was cheering wildly, but perhaps not a loudly as they had in previous weeks, and a few boos echoed through the cheers, something Corwin and Drew had not really ever heard before. This unsettled them a little, Drew a bit more than Corwin.

They faced off and the size differential was obvious. Trace and Kale were monsters of solid muscle. Corwin and Drew were slight in comparison but their abilities were well known and their record spoke for itself. The bell rang and the match was on...

Drew started against Kale. Kale knew Drew liked to land a quick drop kick. Sure enough Drew charged and launched a flying kick that Kale side stepped. Drew's kick connected with nothing and he landed flat on his back. Kale moved quickly for his size and grabbed Drew's long wavy hair and yanked him up to his feet. He slammed a backhand across his chest and scooped the lean boy into a slam. Drew hit hard but managed to get up to a sitting position. Kale came up behind him and clamped two big claws onto Drew's trapezious (forgive me if this is spelled wrong but I couldn't find it anywhere) muscles. Drew's face was a picture of pain as Kale poured on the pressure to the big neck and shoulder muscles. He even cried out on pain. Corwin had never heard Drew do that before and thought Kale may get a submission out of his partner quickly. He ran into the ring and slammed an arm across the back of Kale's head making him lose the hold. Trace came in to face Corwin but Corwin was back to his corner before he met him. Drew struck a kick to Kale's ribs as he made it over and tagged Corwin in. Kale was getting back to his feet when Corwin leapt and came butt first down on the back of his neck driving his face into the canvas hard enough to almost knock him out. With Kale groggy Corwin dropped knee to the kidney area then bounced off the ropes and came landing across the back with a body splash. Quick as a cat Corwin was climbing the ropes to stand in atop the corner. He waited just till Kale began to raise himself up again and leapt. He landed elbow first to the big guy's back with his elbow connecting hard. Kale was again slammed to the mats face first. Corwin showed some previously unseen viciousness and stomped Kale's right arm causing the larger teen to cry out in pain. He tagged in Drew and they both grabbed an arm and tossed Kale to the ropes catching the semiconscious boy in a double suplex dropping him hard to his back. They both were fast up top the top of a corner and dropped their trademark flying elbows from that height. Drew's elbow slammed the big chest while Corwin's struck through Kale's powerful ab muscles. Corwin was out quickly and Drew hooked a leg and awaited the three count. But the referee got only to two when, amazingly, Kale pressed Drew right off him. Drew landed stunned on his butt and looked at Corwin perplexed.

No wrestler had ever come back from that move. Corwin was equally surprised and gave Drew a shrug of the shoulders. Kale was still groggy and Drew slammed a foot to the big boy's chest followed by a knee drop to the gut. Kale was winded and barely moving when Drew climbed the ropes and came flying down onto Kale's back with another well aimed elbow. As Kale rolled weakly in agony Trace was chopping at the bit to get in there. Drew was up fast and went to bounce off the ropes to deliver another high flying move but Trace saw move coming and hopped down off the apron and grabbed the rope behind Drew pulling it down hard. Drew toppled over the rope and landed chest first on the hard arena floor. Trace pulled him up and punched him hard in his still tender belly driving the air from his lungs. The muscleteen then grabbed the back of Drew's hair and bounced his face off the ring apron before tossing the thin wrestler back into the ring. Trace got back up on the apron and awaited Kale's tag. The weary Kale finally got out of the ring and Trace pounced on the still smarting Drew.

Trace pulled Drew up to his feet and wrapped both hands behind his back. Trace then drove Drew chest first into the turnbuckles and slammed his own weight into the back just for good measure. Trace then lifted Drew up in a double chicken wing. Drew's arms were bent in agony. Trace held the hold before backing himself into the ropes and propelling himself into a forward slam crushing Drew between his own massive chest and the canvas. Drew thought his arms might be broken as they took the full weight of Trace as he landed on his back. Trace rolled the winded boy over and drove a heavy fist into his soft gut. Drew arched up and Trace punched his chest forcing him to the mats. He got up onto Drew in a schoolboy pin but once again Corwin came charging in and drop kicked Trace in the back. Corwin was out of the ring quickly allowing Drew to at least get to his feet.

Drew was hurting but acted more wounded than he actually was clutching his stomach and standing slightly bent over. When Trace came over to dish out some more punishment he was met by a lighting fast kick to his lower belly. Trace gripped his lower abs and doubled over and Drew leapt up and brought a big leg down across the back of his head forcing the big teen to his knees. The slender boy then cinched on a text book head scissors hold crushing Trace's jaws between hid bony knees. Trace pounded the mats but not in submission but in anger. He tried in vain to claw away at the legs but Drew's hold was cinched in and was not about to be broken. Now it was Kale's turn to interfere. He jumped into the ring and grabbed the back of Drew's hair slamming the base of his skull to the canvas. The referee cautioned him but he had allowed Corwin that luxury and wanted this to be as even a contest as possible.

As Drew lay on his back holding the back of his head Trace stood over him and dropped his full weight into a knee drop that squished Drew's guts. He then tagged in a rested Kale. Together they pulled Drew up each grabbing a shoulder. They lifted him up with ease into a double suplex and dropped him down hard. Each then came down onto him with an elbow drop. Trace's hit the sternum and Kale's sunk into the navel area. Drew was hurting badly for real now and knew he had to get out or the match was going to be over. Trace got out and as Kale began to pull up the winded boy Drew saw a chance. He hated to take it but this was going to be too big a match to lose. He drove a closed fist into the bulge in Kale's tights. Kale let him go and fell to his knees gripping his hurt balls. A few boos came from the crowd at the tactic and this bothered Drew too. He said to himself that they just didn't understand what was at stake here. Drew practically fell to toward Corwin and made the tag.

Corwin greeted a still smarting Kale with a kick to the ribs. Kale remained on his knees but a roundhouse kick to the head toppled the muscleboy. Corwin landed another kick to the ribs and dropped a knee to the chest. Kale was once again at the receiving end of Corwin's wrath. The handsome, agile teen hopped up and landed with both feet on the taunt ab muscles and gave a second jump. Kale winced under the 162 pounds. He grabbed at Corwin's legs but the smaller boy was too quick to be caught. As Kale got to his feet he looked around for his opponent. He turned just in time to be met with a clothes line to the chest that staggered but didn't topple him. Corwin was bouncing off the opposite ropes and nailed Kale with a second clothesline to the throat. He still stayed standing. But a standing drop kick that slammed his face sent him back to the canvas. Again Corwin bounced off the ropes and landed butt first on Kale's massive pectorals. Corwin grabbed Kale's ears and bounced the back of his head against the mats. Kale's head was spinning as stars flashed before his eyes.

Corwin reached back and tagged in Drew. They pulled him into position and once again climbed to the top of a corner. Again, in perfect unison, they launched their high flying elbow drops. Corwin's hit the chest and Drew's the mid-gut. Corwin got out just before the DQ. Drew covered the winded teen and even though he was almost unconscious Kale just about succeeded in kicking out from under Drew's tenuous hold, but not quite. The referee's hand hit the mats three times and the bell was rung. Corwin and Drew had a hard fought victory. The crowd was cheering madly as two of the most popular boys in the league took their victory bows. Drew listened closely but heard no boos. He breathed an internal sigh of relief though he was not exactly sure why. Perhaps seeing what had happened to Cody's life since he took a turn down the dark side made Drew a bit more anxious about maintaining his popularity.

HB and Kane had watched the bout intently. As Corwin and Drew were finishing the last of their bows the TW tag team champs jumped into the ring. Trace and Kale had made way for them and actually hoped the two fresh wrestlers would pound the stuffing out of the teens who had just defeated them. But HB grabbed the microphone and pointed at Corwin and Drew and said, "OK, so it looks like you get the honor of being smashed in our next title defense." The crowd roar of boos was deafening but HB continued, "If you ask me I think the two of you got real lucky in beating Trace and Kale". Kane just nodded in silent agreement, his eyes boring holes into the loincloth clad teens. HB finished by saying, "I want everyone here who is cheering for these two lucky losers to know that when they face US", HB put an arm around his well built partner "that WE will PROVE once and for all that Corwin and Drew are the two most OVERRATED wrestlers in the league!" The crowd booing was shaking the rafters as HB dropped the mic to the floor. They left the arena to a hail of booing.

Corwin and Drew exited to a totally opposite farewell. The fans wanted nothing more than to see HB and Kane go down to defeat. However, no team this far had proven their ability to do that. As big a fight as they had just had was going to pale in comparison to what lay ahead.
